SAP TECHNICAL CONSULTANCY

Technical consultants plan the technical requirements for a project with the project manager and the technical team leader and then carry out the required technical tasks in the system. Depending on the scope and complexity of the implementation, technical consultants may work in several areas. For example, system administration, database administration, network administration, operating system administration, development of cross­ application components, or ABAP development or Web Dynpro development.

For international projects, technical consultants also manage consultancy in the following areas:

  • Language specific or code page ­specific requirements
  • Country specific business requirements and country ­specific SAP software requirements
  • Time zone issues
Our technical consultants have some roles and responsibilities:

1) Designing technical specification by looking at the functional specification you have received. Usually senior developers having three years or more than three years of experience involves in preparing technical specifications.

2) Developing objects using ABAP workbench tools. That may be a report program or an on­line program or a custom table. Remember the development work starts after the technical specification is approved by your team leader. Approved by your team leader.

3) Preparing the Unit test case document. In unit test case document, we document the results and test cases performed on the developed object.

4) Working on Problem Tickets If you are working in a support project, you should solve the tickets assigned to you.
